Mouse Jiggler · ⇧⌘J
Prevent idle interruptions during presentations and long-running tasks
Mouse Jiggler moves the pointer at a configurable interval, inside a screen, window or custom area you choose — useful when something you’re running would otherwise be treated as idle.
Toggle from the menu bar · ⇧⌘J · Off by default on launch
How it works
Choose an area and an interval
Select a screen, window or custom portion, set an interval from 5 to 999 seconds, then turn it on. Movement pauses after recent user activity, and it does not prevent macOS from sleeping — enable Prevent Sleep separately for that.
Permissions
What macOS asks for
Accessibility is required to select an allowed area and move the pointer.
How to allow permissions →Questions about Mouse Jiggler
How is this different from Prevent Sleep?
Prevent Sleep keeps your Mac awake without moving the pointer. Mouse Jiggler actively moves the pointer within an area you choose, and does not by itself prevent sleep.
Can I set how often it moves?
Yes. The interval is configurable from 5 to 999 seconds.
Where can the pointer move?
Within a screen, window or custom portion that you select.
Does it need a permission?
Yes, Accessibility is required to select an allowed area and move the pointer.
