Local-first application data

Clipboard data is stored locally on your device. DeskUtils does not upload clipboard content, color history, or other productivity content to external servers.

DeskUtils does not require an account, and it does not provide cloud clipboard storage or cross-device synchronization.

macOS permissions

DeskUtils requests macOS permissions only when they are needed for a feature you choose to use.

• Accessibility lets Clean Keyboard block input and lets Clipboard Manager paste into another app.
• Screen Recording lets Color Picker read the pixel under your pointer. DeskUtils does not record or upload your screen.
• You may decline an optional permission and continue using features that do not require it.

Network access and updates

DeskUtils uses Sparkle to check the official update feed. Update requests may expose standard technical information such as your IP address, app version, and operating system information to the hosting provider. Clipboard content is never included in an update request.

This website

The DeskUtils website does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or user accounts. Standard server logs may be processed by the website hosting provider for security and reliable delivery.

Purchases

When paid licenses become available, payments will be processed by Lemon Squeezy. Payment, billing, tax, and order information will be handled under Lemon Squeezy’s own privacy practices. DeskUtils will receive the order and license information needed to provide and support your license.

Support messages

If you email DeskUtils, the information you voluntarily provide — such as your email address, message, diagnostic details, or order information — will be used to answer your request and provide support. Do not include clipboard content or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated as DeskUtils develops. Material changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
