Local-first application data

DeskUtils is an independent macOS application developed by Vu Trung Kien. Clipboard history, screenshots and color history are stored locally on your Mac. DeskUtils does not upload this productivity content to external servers. Screen text recognition runs on your device.

DeskUtils does not require an account and does not provide cloud clipboard storage or cross-device synchronization.

macOS permissions

DeskUtils requests permissions for the features you choose to use:

• Screen Recording: For screenshots, screen text recognition and sampling on-screen colors.
• Accessibility: For keyboard cleaning, direct paste and supported capture interactions.

You can decline an optional permission and continue using features that do not require it.

Network access and updates

DeskUtils uses Sparkle to check the official update feed. Update requests may expose standard technical information such as your IP address, app version and operating system information to the hosting provider. Clipboard content is never included in an update request.

This website

This website does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising cookies or user accounts. Demo videos are served as website files without third-party video embeds. The hosting provider may process standard server logs for security and reliable delivery.

Purchases and license activation

Pro sales are not open yet. When available, payments will be processed by Lemon Squeezy under its own privacy practices. DeskUtils will receive the order and license information needed to provide and support your license.

Activating and validating Pro requires communicating with the license service. Your license key and activation information are used to verify access and enforce the device limit. Clipboard content and screenshots are not sent with these requests.

Support messages

If you email DeskUtils, the information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address, message, diagnostic details or order information, will be used to answer your request and provide support. Do not include sensitive content unless it is necessary for your request.
