Display Dimming

Dim a bright external display

Display Dimming visually dims a connected external display using a single 10–100% slider, for dim rooms or late-night work.

Adjust from the menu bar

How it works

One slider, 10–100%

Drag the Display Dimming slider to visually dim connected external displays. This adjusts the displayed image, not the monitor’s physical hardware brightness. In the Free version the dimming is a live preview: it applies while the DeskUtils menu is open and returns to full brightness when the menu closes. DeskUtils Pro keeps the level you set after the menu closes.
